Bright, dark red color. Nose of fresh fruit such as cherries, strawberries, raspberries and a hint of red berry. Direct and pure style. Lush fruit supported by fresh, lively acidity. Nice full and balanced character. The finale is juicy and prepare you instantly for a next sip. AWARDS: Gold by Gilbert & Gaillard 2018.
Cool drunk wonderfully refreshing as wine in itself. Tasty with poultry, veal, vegetarian dishes and light cheeses.
- climate
-
Semi-Continental climate. Cold air from the Alps and hot air from the south. The collision between these different air flows makes the weather in Beaujolais sometimes very erratic.
- soil
-
Sandy soils with clay, lime and pink granite (typical for Brouilly) in the subsoil. Quite steep South-East oriented slopes.
- vinification
-
The Gamay grapes are harvested by hand and undergo maceration for 7 to 8 days. This is followed by a temperature controlled fermentation on stainless steel barrels to emphasize its fruity character as much as possible.
